Nina Amir’s Newest Book Might be The Most Important of This Decade-

Dear Subscribers and Visitors:

I received a notice from Amazon that Amazon has Nina Amir’s newest book in release. I get them because I have followed her author profile on Amazon; they do this for all authors who appear on Amazon so this serves as kind of a tip for all my precious subscribers and visitors, for sure.  But it’s also a recommendation for this book of hers which will also be included and recommended in the  it my book “Word by Word” that will soon be released by Amazon, too. (If you’ve followed my profile there, you’ll be among the first to get that notice, too!).

Here is the quotation I used as a guide for the appendix and I hope you’ll take it to heart! I’m in the final stages of editing and indexing now so what you see here might be different than what’s in my book, but you are always welcome to quote me when I write something that will help anything I praise--I’m not all that eager to go viral with anything that isn’t positive.  This one is a rave! I think most of you know that I am convinced that the voices of authors are needed now more than ever and after you’ve read this recommendation you’ll see that it is dedicated to encouraging authors to speak out and speak up!

“I have long admired Nina Amir’s advocacy for authors, and she’s back with a comprehensive writing guide for a book more in need now than ever before—this time for authors who seek to create change. When Change the World One Book at a Time becomes a bestseller, it might be the one book credited with the differences its readers create in individual lives, communities, organizations, and the world.”
~ Carolyn Howard-Johnson, fiction writer, poet, and author of her multi award-winning series of books for writers.

Nina Amir Challenges Authors for 2017 and Beyond

Many of the subscribers and visitors to this blog can easily tell why I love today's guest post from one of Writer's Digests' star authors! This is a challenge, Authors!  Let's grab hold of it for 2017!

You Can Do More Than Write

By Nina Amir

Most writers just think about writing. I’d like to challenge you to do more than write.
Write with a greater purpose—to make a positive and meaningful difference with your words.
Author change.
The World Needs Authors of Change
The great mystic Bob Dylan wrote, “The times they are a changin’.”  Never has this statement been truer.
I’m not just talking about changes in the economic, political, ecological, or some other specific part of life. Nor am I focusing on the publishing world, though that changes all the time, too. And change is not happening more quickly only in the United States or in one country.
Everything is changing all the time. Sometimes it just feels like it’s changing faster or in larger amounts.
That’s why the world needs authors of change—change agents who transform lives, communities, organizations, nations, and the world with their written works.
You Can Inspire Positive Change
The only thing we can predict is change. It’s a fact of life. But you, as a writer, can inspire positive change.
Some things change as if by a force of their own. And some change just happens. Still other changes are manufactured by mere mortals.
Sometimes the change we desire doesn’t happen. We get stuck. Others get stuck or a situation gets stuck. Occasionally it seems everything around us gets stuck and just won’t change. (Psst. Change is still happening…but slowly.)
As a writer, you can inspire change. You can instigate change. You can make change happen. You can become a change agent.
How to Create Change With Your Words
Instead of looking at the stuckness around you or the things you don’t like that you wish would change and saying, “That’s interesting,” or “I don’t like that,” or even “I can’t change that,” make a difference. Get involved.  Create change.
You can start movement with your words. You can fulfill a mission. All it takes is your ability to inspire the change you want to see in the world via your written work.
You can “author change” by writing anything that that inspires others to a new and different—and positive—action. For instance, you could write a transformational:
  • article
  • essay
  • op-ed piece
  • Blog post
  • printed book
  • ebook
  • Manifesto

Commit to paper in an authentic and convincing manner your:
  • strong feelings
  • opinion
  • passion
  • purpose
  • mission
  • arguments

The you do, those who read your work will get involved in your cause.
What are cause do you feel strongly about? Animal or women’s rights? Going green? The recent election? Saving racehorses from slaughter? Obesity?
Start writing about it. Become a change agent.
Do something more than just write. Author change.

Nina Amir Wants More for Your Book Than the Law of Attraction!

Can You Attract A Bestselling Book?

By Nina Amir
(This post is part of the virtual book tour for Creative Visualization for Writers)

Wouldn't it be nice if you could attract a bestselling book? You know...use the Law of Attraction to get your book on the bestseller list?

You would think about what you desire—bestseller status for your book—imagine what it would feel like—Whoo hoo!—and miraculously your book would appear on a bestseller list.

While some people advocate this approach to attracting what you want, I believe there is more to the equation. You have to do something to realize your desires.

When it comes to creating a bestseller, of course, you have to write a marketable book. That means a book that sells. After that, you need to promote the book once it is released. It's a rare book that ends up as a bestseller simply by word of mouth.

All that said, don't throw out the idea that your mental and emotional exercises won't help your book succeed.

Visualize Success

In fact, creative visualization, which involves consciously daydreaming about what you want and imagining what it would be like to have it, works. That's why athletes and business people visualize the results they want to achieve.

For example, an Olympic swimmer sits quietly by himself and imagines every stroke of the race and his fingers hitting the wall before anyone else. He also imagines himself feeling tired the last lap but summoning the energy to speed ahead of his opponents.

When he visualizes the race in this way, his mind fires off signals that make his muscles react as if he was swimming the race. The mind knows no difference between his imagined race and the real one.

A businesswoman imagines how she will conduct herself during an important meeting. She sees herself successfully fielding difficult questions and negotiating the results she desires.

Again, the brain sees her visualization as if it is a real meeting. It fires off signals to her body to remain calm and centered. And it helps her entrain her desired responses in her mind and body.

It's no different when it comes to creating a bestseller. Visualize yourself:
  • Feeling comfortable and confident speaking about your book to a large audience.
  • Responding to comments on guest posts you've written for well-trafficked blogs.
  • Getting great reviews on Amazon.
  • Seeing increasing book sales weekly.
  • Sharing beautiful quote cards from your book on social networks.
  • Watching your book move up the Amazon Top 100 list in its category...until it hits #1.
If you visualize these scenarios, and you allow yourself to connect emotionally to the images in your mind, your mind fires as if you were having these experiences. It tells your body and your unconscious mind that you can do this!

Take Action

There is missing piece in the Law of Attraction equation. It is action.

Visualization helps you achieve your desired results, but you still have to do something. The swimmer still has to get in the pool and race. The businesswoman still has to go into the meeting and negotiate.

You have to, first, write a book that will sell, and then you have to help it sell. You have to promote it.

Your creative visualizations help you do these things. They train your mind and body to write and market your book—and to succeed.

No More Negative Thoughts

Here's another benefit to creative visualization: Your visualizations counteract your negative thoughts—My book will never become a bestseller. And I'm not good at marketing.—and beliefs—Writers shouldn't have to promote their books. Art and sales should never be mixed. When you imagine yourself with a bestselling book of your own in your hands and you see yourself in your mind's eye doing what is necessary to make that happen, you convince your mind it's true.

That means you reduce or eliminate the negative thoughts and limiting beliefs that have held you back. You retrain your mind to believe the positive thoughts and unlimited beliefs associated with the success you imagined.

With a more positive mindset in general, you will have a much easier time driving your book to bestseller status.
