A Quickie Post: Targeted Resources for YOUR Radio Gig

This is the tip of the week from my last SharingwithWriters newsletter. It's just what you need for finding the person who wants you to talk to their audience. In other words, it's about finding radio shows and hosts who have the kind of fans you want for your book.  If you'd like more info like this right in your e-mail box, subscribe at http:://howtodoitfrugally.com/newsletter_copies.htm.

Those of you who love radio gigs will love Fran Silverman’s series of e-books that give resources for streaming radio. The information for each entry includes title of show, name of host, theme, where aired, guest criteria, e-mail, Web site, phone (optional), and best method of contact.
The one specifically for authors covers writing, editing, publishing, marketing, literary agents, Christian authors, author spotlights; genres include thrillers, suspense, action/adventures, novels, teen/YA, romance, poetry, science, historical, baseball, screenplays, songwriting.

For descriptions and prices of all 16 e-books (some of which may feature the theme or topic of your book), please visit http://www.talkradioadvocate.com
By the way, she also has a free newsletter you may want to sign up for.

Four Corners Public Radio Radio Host Submits Reviews to Blog as Part of Service

I am including this information on Sharing with Writers because it includes resources for both writers and readers. In other words, places to go to get reviews on books as well as places for authors to go to get book reviewed. Thanks to Connie Gotsch for this release that also includes information on how authors can get a spot on her radio show.

Book Review for Sabra Brown Steinsiek’s Annie’s Song

Drop by http://TheNewBookReview.blogspot.com and read a review of Sabra Brown Steinsiek’s ‘Annie’s Song by author, photographer, and broadcaster Connie Gotsch.

Ms. Gotsch, invites all authors from the Four Corners states: New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah to read their works for Write On Four Corners, on Public Radio Station KSJE, 90.9-FM Farmington, New Mexico. From the works accepted for the show, she selects books to review .

Sabra Brown Steinsiek will appear on the show in early 2009 to discuss ‘Annie’s Song.’

Write On Four Corners airs at 10:30 each Wednesday morning Mountain Time, and can be heard live on the web with Media Player at www.ksje.com or over the air for people within 50 miles of Farmington, New Mexico.

Gotsch isn't content just to discuss books. She has written two. Her psychological thriller, Snap Me a Future. was released by DLSIJpress.com in October, 2004. Her mainstream A Mouth Full of Shell, also from DLSIJpress, came out in 2001 (http://dlsijpress.com)

Her children’s novel ‘Belle’s Star’ is scheduled for release from Artemesia Press sometime in 2009.

Gotsch welcomes submissions to Write On Four Corners. Queries should be addressed to gotsch@sjc.cc.nm.us or www.ksje.com or 505 566 3377.
