Writers & Publishers Network Launches GoFundMe Campaign to support scholarships for the 805 Writers Conference in Ventura, CA

Funds raised are earmarked for scholarships to go to  area students and senior community After two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, the 805 Writers Conference & Book Expo is returning to Ventura, CA on November 5 & 6. The event is presented by Writers & Publishers Network (WPN), a literary nonprofit based in Ojai, California WPN launched a GoFundMe Campaign yesterday - SUPPORT THE NEW VOICES IN WRITING SCHOLARSHIP FUND TODAY. We are looking for avid book lovers, writers, and people who believe in the importance of literature to support this $10,000 fundraising campaign. GoFundMe donations will be used for the New Voices in Writing Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to students 16-25 and seniors over 60. Scholarship winners will be selected from submissions to be judged by published authors and professional editors. People wishing to submit their writing for consideration may do so starting August 20, 2022 at 805WC.com The link to this GoFundMe page is https://bit.ly/3dxCqKy About the 805 Writers Conference Taking place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on November 5 & 6, 2022, in Ventura, CA, the conference will feature best-selling authors, nationally recognized book marketing experts, literary agents, and editors.  The conference provides attendees with a comprehensive overview of the State of Publishing today and the necessary skills to succeed as a writer. WPN is hosting a free, open-to-the-public Book Expo this year. The Book Expo will open from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The 805 Writers Conference is not only for people wanting to learn about the craft and business of book publishing but for book lovers too. Three ways to enjoy, learn, or find your new favorite book. New this year—the 805 Book Expo features over 40 regional authors daily and all conference speakers signing books at scheduled times. The Expo is open to the public for free. The entire conference is available in-person or via Zoom for people unable to attend. Zoom attendees will have a special extra – the ability to schedule a talk with a book editor about their manuscripts. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to meet with a literary agent.
