I should have done this long ago. WhenI taught at a program at Antioch ‘s fellowship program offered to deserving writers.  When.I applied for a PEN xxx at no cost (unsuccessfully but happily!). My love of Russian literature finally convinced me. The recent danger of Belarusian authors and journalists finally convinced me.  I am a slow learner, but now I have the nerve to suggest you join me by in support of this organization.
