Trying to Help Keep My Author Friends Healthy

So,  this is a departure for this blog , but there is a relationship between staying healthy and using this Time of Corona to write!  I sent this to my relatives as I sit here in self-enforced isolation after three flight where we appeared to be the only ones wearing masks. I’m now in my second week. So, here is a magic potion that keeps viruses from using your sinuses as an incubator:

I am sharing My husband’s  do-it-yourself (and frugal) virus killer. He loves this because viruses harbor themselves in nostrils and sinuses. And because he can make it once and use it until it boils away. That’s several days unless you don’t heat to steam, breathe, and turn the burner off immediately!

1.      Put ½ inch water in a sauce pan.
2.     Add 5 drops each of these oils:
·       Cinnamon Leaf
·       Red Thyme
·       Clove Bud

Heat to steam. Carefully take breaths of steam. Do so by pinching one nostril off and breathing six times as comfortable, then switch nostrils.  Remove from burner to use again. Repeat three times a day.

Another benefit. Your kitchen will smell like cinnamon cookies. ðŸ˜Š

  1. Thanks for the tip, Carolyn! It's really bad in my area, to the point that everyone here knows someone and even families who have it. Scary stuff.
