I guess this "new...Nicole, thanks for dropping by. I guess this "new" economic situation is affecting everyone in one way or another. But publishing is a very slow moving industry. Still, they can move pretty quickly if they already have an author who has a contract with them or has had but it takes lots of juggling of their lineup of other books and rearranging of their marketing department's schedule.
